Delivering Songerie

On 14 December '08 we flew from Windhoek to Durban to fetch Songerie. We thought we had enough time available for this journey (till end February), but did not realise the engine was beyond repair. After 40days of continuous struggle we bought a new Vetus engine.On 6 February '09 the three of us started our very first journey together with a professional skipper (whose navigation skills was terrifying) and our Chilean "compadre" Luis and sons on a 34ft wooden boat, "Surazo".
