at last on Namibian soil again

At 6am on Friday 6 March we arrived at Luderitz harbour in berg wind conditions .... bloody hot. In the past few days, we experienced only once a bit of too strong winds (we were not well prepared to reef at that moment)

To our surprise we were overwhelmingly welcomed by Ian & Dorris, our friends that just returned from Brazil. They offered us breakfast, hot shower & site seeing trip for the next few days. Thy gave us dinghy bag, see maps & gas bottle of Brazil, etc. because their days on sailing boat "Auk" came to a halt at Luderitz.

After a lovely day of lots of wine, beer and food with long time friend, Oscar Schatz, we had to leave Luderitz to get some sleep.

On Monday at about midday we left on the last stretch to Walvisbay.
