Morro de Sao Paolo

Early morning of the 26th, we left for Morro de Sao Paulo in the river Jequie. No wind again, we used the engine. Jaco caught two Mackerels. (Last one was very big). The swell was a bit rolly at morro, but we saw a Chilean boat “Shenu” and went closer to get some information. They said the anchorage were fine and commented on the big fish hanging from the davits. Captain Jaco decided to rather go to Curral a bit further for better anchorage. (Good choice, we had a wonderful sleep, no roll on the sea) The following day we met up with the Chileans, they were friends from Louis of Surazo. We gave them some of our fish which was too much for us and anchored at Gamboa. This turned out an n extremely good spot. It is a walk (long walk) away from Morro, but far more quiet. We enjoyed the caiperinhas and a moqueca at Claudio’s. After our friends left back to Namibia, We returned a few times. The yacht club offers a mooring for free. Marcello can speak good English.
