2 Days later Clean-Clean came rocking past and invited us for the follow-up party. This time we did not even hesitate. Some time in the afternoon captian Lauro got a call of a boat in danger in one of the other bays. Clean-Clean motored out to save the boat which was stranded on the rocks. The swell was quiet high and confused with a howling wind. The 4 crew on board was saved by the harbour captain boat. Raphael swam out to the boat with a rope to try and tow it to land, but the hull had already a lot of damage. At the end we got the boat free from the rocks, but then it sank to the bottom. It is only 14meters deep and hopefully they could salvage some of it the following day. It was for me an excellent experience to see how well and calm they handled the situations happening all at once. (a man onboard got a huge cut when they got a knife out to cut the boat free, same time the steering of Clean-Clean broke and they had to use the emergency tiller.) That evening we enjoyed a hot shower at Raphael and Sylvana’s house before they took us to the center of town for Carnaval.

At the end we spent 10 days in Guarapari and hope to return on our way to the Carribean islands.
