Baia da Ilha Grande

According to our cruising guide this is the “fillet mignon” of Brazilian cruising coast.

This is a huge bay with a long island: “Ilha Grande” in the middle of it. Between the island and main land are approximately 350 smaller islands, cays and fiords. The water is cleaner than in the north, but still greenish. We found due to over fishing only small fish and not worthwhile for spear fishing, but great for snorkeling.
