Baia de Ilha Grande: Parati

25nm west from Angra

Parati is one of the oldest towns in Brazil. This romantic little town with original colonial houses has irregular cobble stone streets that gets flooded in spring tide high. The family stayed here in a Pousada for a few days while we were at anchor in front of the old fort.

The whole bay is very shallow and we hit mud twice on our way to anchor!
