Well all were not too bad, we got 7 crayfish for very cheap from a local fisherman and were pleasantly surprise by the very friendly and helpful town people. It can be quite a pain to try and get our gas bottles filled. The Brazilian connection system is different from the universal one. We have besides our big Namibian bottle a small Brazilian bottle which is also different from the commonly used ones. When asking around for a filling depot a car wash man, Francisco offered to take Jaco on his motorbike in heavy rain pour in search of this. After driving all around town and successfully filled the bottle they offered us coffee before we carried on. Our 6 month Visa expired and we checked out of Brazil on Friday 18th . On 19 June at 8h00 we left Maceio for Cabadelo, 200nm north. According to the Federal Police we can check in again if we had to, but we are thinking to duck and dive the police for the rest of our journey to French Guyana.
