Back to Paramaribo
On Sunday 31 October at about 9am we “started” to weigh our anchor. This is not a easy task in this river. We, like all other boats leaving, were hooked on a huge tree at the bottom. Jaco dived a few times to “see” (feel) what is happening. After about one hour struggle, motor power, 4 neighbour-dingy-consultants and extra deck help, we successfully forced the anchor out from under the tree trunk. We sailed in light wind to Paramaribo and drop anchor in front of Torarica Hotel.
