On the 4th of December we took a day/night shake down cruise to Mochima. We had pleasant and scenic sail of 6 hours. A few groups of Common Dolphins came past Songerie. The area from PLC to Mochima, including 32 islands, coastal areas and peninsulas, is over 2 million acres of National park where development is restricted and wildlife protected. Fishermen are allowed to use the existing camps but cannot build new ones. There are dozens of anchorages, but according to our knowledge safe during the day, but not over night. We anchored at the end of the bay in front of the village. It is an attractive small town that thrives on fishing and tourism. Visitors arrive by bus, car or boat. There are a few friendly restaurants which are mostly open on weekends or holidays. On Sunday we returned to PLC to get ready for the family reunion tomorrow.
