Quick Haul-out in Puerto La Cruz, 24 November

We spend the first day to rest, eat and arrange for a haul-out the following morning.
At 8am Marvin of S/V “Zorba” towed us with his rubber duck to the travelift. The marina arrange and do all when they haul-out a boat. We felt very uncomfortable not to help or manage this. It was the first time that we just stand by and take pictures. Songerie was standing on the dry within an hour. It cost us less than 200U$ for taking Songerie out and back into the water and one week stay on the dry, while we fix the shaft. (It took us months of planning for the haul-out in Namibia. First Jaco build a trailer, and then we arranged, and paid a fortune, for a crane and a spot at the harbour wall in Walvisbay to  lift Songerie. Then we drove at snail speed through the city to the yacht club, where she stayed for 2months on the hard.)
We could not find a new Stainless steel shaft, but we found a work shop that could fix the broken one. This had to be the solution for the time being. My family is arriving on the 6th of December for 3 weeks. After their visit we plan to haul-out at Medregal Village for a few months to go home and on our return to do a bit of maintenance. We were just one week on the dry and on the 1st of December without any hassle, Songerie was back in the water, tied-up alongside TMO.
