Biltong

One sundowner on Chaser II we were offered BILTONG! , where will you get biltong in Venezuela?..Made it themselves said Phil and Yvonne!

We have never thought of making biltong on the boat, the humidity is too high. But also there is almost always a breeze and if you cut it thin and keep the biltong in the shade in the breeze, like under the bimini… viola! Imagine it took an Englishman to show a Namibian that you can make biltong on the boat! The meat in Venezuela is very cheap so the first batch was made from fillet steak.. kidding just the off-cuts.
