New Years Eve

dedicated fisherman
We returned to Cayo Heradura to prepare for New Years Eve there. On the way James caught a nice (3-4kg) Spanish mackerel. We had sashimi that evening and I think two new converts!

All the fishermen had left to be with families and we “rented” the most photogenic shack for the New Years Eve party. We invited all the boats at anchor to join.
With the help of Kat & Joern. of Sailboat “Ritmo di Vita”, Daniel & Cecile of Sailboat “Basta” and  Ricardo of motorboat “Etan” we cleaned in and around the shack.
We got the generator out and rigged the Christmas lights around the columns and beams of the shack

Rum, fun & sun on the last day of 2011

Anita mixing Ti-Rum-Punch all night long
We started early with smoking the Mackerel and Papelon con limon rum cocktails. We got a big bag of ice from the only boat not to join the party.
We have been collecting wood from all around and had a big heap come sundown.
The big motor yacht Etan with Venezuelan family joined as well and although we did not have music it was a very special party around a big bonfire. James made a dive over the fire, this time naked but due to his high price for taking a photo we have no record!

Great night was had by all.

We returned to clean up the next morning and soon started another party!
