Salinas

Anchor spot N                W , 4 meter deep gras/sand

Entrance to Salinas, great kite surfing spot

Salinas is a lake like bay with strong wind that can blow from all directions in one day.
We found out that the holding is also not so good when we dragged once after the wind shifted and the anchor did not dig in again.
It is a lovely spot with a small marina and hotel with friendly staff.

Hotel entrance

We dived on the anchor and found big conch!

Bani Market
We went shopping to Bani, a small town with good supermarket and fresh produce.

S/V "Namibia"
We saw a Spanish boat with the name “Namibia”!
Apparently the owner was travelling in Namibia where he had a car accident and end up calling his brand new Bavaria Cruiser “Namibia
With internet available we sorted some business and then after a week there left for Palmar de Ocoa, 7 miles north.
