Cabu Cruz N19 50.3 W 77 44.1

We went to land not knowing its prohibited for sailors and were met with very unfriendly people!

With the assistance of Chris Parker’s forecast we sailed the 114NM east to Cabu Cruz. (Jaco did not trust our gearbox any longer and started the process of importing a new one to Jamaica with the help of our friend Phil Chapman, whom handled it in our behalf! From now on we had to sail without using our engine!)
This is a beautiful well protected anchorage with a beautiful coral stone light house. Unfortunately sailors are not allowed on land.

GOT IT! I have been trying to catch this shy angel fish for months!
Jaco spend a whole day spearfishing with local Jorge, swimming and diving about 2 Nm of the reef while I followed with the dinghy, rowing. Jorge also supplied us with much needed eggs and onions. We rewarded him with a shorty wet suit.
