Baia Aguillas
Most beautiful Aguillas
Together with Buddy boat Frideborg we left Ile a Vache in the afternoon to try and use the catabatic effect (offshore wind at night that stops or minimise the strong trade winds).
The swell was quite big (Trig claimed 10 foot) and going was slow when at around midnight we got a rope attached to a fish trap around the propeller!
Jaco had to dive down and cut the rope loose with Christelle shining down in the water with the spotlight! It was a hairy experience, but soon all fixed and on our slow way again.
The wind and seas never abated and it took us 38 hrs to get to beautiful Baia Aguillas where we saw Gordon & Louise of S/V Coho at anchor.

Here we planned to rest a bit before taking on the rounding of dreaded Cape Beata.
