Caraballeda, October 2013

The Venetur marina office & Songerie tied up with the Caracas mountains in the background.
Sunset at the port entrance (the green marker light not working.)
Winds were light South Easterly, very tight for sailing to Caraballeda, so we motor sailed most of the way.
We caught a decent Dorado closer to mainland.
When we tied up at Marina Caraballeda the dock master asked if we have problems and what kind of problem. Seems that very few foreign sailboats stop here and if they do, to sort out problems!
A safe marina with little facilities, close to Caracas airport to pick up guests.

Flamingos passing us underway to Caranero
We stayed a few days for provisioning and left for Carenero and on to Tortuga.
