Isla Margarita and Tortuga November 2013

With no wind forecast we motor-sailed to the duty free Island, Margarita, to fill our bilge with affordable Chile wine! Keeping the bad reputation of crime in mind we anchored at Isla Coche the fist night and arrived at 8am at Porlamar, did the shopping and left at 2pm to anchor at Isla Cubagua before we sailed the following day on to Tortuga.
Calm conditions and lots of Dolphins.

Disappointing red boys along the beach at Cayo Heradura.
The beach forming again since our last visit.
First we anchored at Palanquinos untill Chaser 2 met up with us. Did some diving toghether and moved on to Cayo Heradura for a few days. We were very disappointed with the new line of huge boys (all attached with a non vissable rope) in front of the beach. The Venezuelan government have new regulations  and rules regarding Isla Tortuga. (Not sure which apply to sailors)
The day before we sailed back to Puerto La Cruz we anchored at Isla la Tortuguillas to explore these islands for reference when our friends from Namibia visit in December.
Another great sun-downer with Phil and Yvonne of Chaser 2
Isla la Tortuquillas

Sunset on our last night at Tortuga with Chaser 2
