Coco Bandero east Cays, San Blas, December 2015

We spend a few days during Christmas  and also later in Jan/Feb at these picturesque group of islands. Some nights we were the only boat and some nights it were far too over crowded by charter yachts anchoring spitting distance from us.

This time of the year the swell can be very big outside and causes strong currents and rolly anchorages on the inside.

We arrived in San Blas with lots of Venezuelan rum to share with Namibian friends, Anita and Joep, who were suppose to join us over Christmas, but unfortunately they canceled the trip.... more anchor rum for us!
(we always take a rum after we dropped anchor... some times we drop anchor 4 or 5 times!)

fish for smoking

Jaco went diving daily looking for fish or lobster. He found some good size dog snappers or grey snappers out at the reef.

Our crew loved the hunting/playing time spend at 2 of these uninhabited islands during a fish smoke or BBQ .

Here we met up with SA/Ausie boat, Mischief and had a couple of great Braais together.
