Guarapari
We were looking forward to see our friends again, but were too tired to call them on our arrival. We rested and cleaned the boat the first two days. Guarapari is something different in May. The baracas is only open on weekends and no one on the beachfront!
We met with Raphael for a coffee and he offered to drive us around looking for baskets for the dogs for our bicycles and we also wanted a new moqueca pot - panela do baro, Esperito Santo province (Holy Spirit province?) is the origin of Moqueca. They call the people from Vitoria capixabas.. Well Raphael took us to a street of artisans making and selling these pots! He bought us a set of 3 pots for only 20 Reas. (ND80) that evening we cooked a feijoada (black bean stew with salted meat)
