17 November 2010….. Celebrating one year of sailing

One year past since we weighed anchor at Walvisbay to cross the Atlantic.

In this year our biggest …

1. thrills: - taking a plunge in 6000m deep Atlantic; catching a Marlin (which we released) and a big Mahi-mahi which we ate, on our way to French Guyana; Crossing the equator at midnight on full moon.
2. Achievements: - crossing the Atlantic in 35 days with a sick dog (tick fever) on board whom survived and since has a vendetta to never go hungry again; Sailing North on the Brazilian coast in bad conditions; Arriving in the Caribbean
3. Scenic destinations: Ilha Grande and Angra dos Reis surroundings; Ille de Salut, French Guyana; Cycling trip to Palulu Jungle in Suriname; Gin clear waters of the Caribe at Grenada
4. Memorable experiences: visit of Anita and Clarissa in Salvador and surroundings; Guarapari: Hospitality and friends made onboard Clean- Clean and best Moqueca we have ever eaten; Visit with my family the Amazon River
5. Best drinks: Caiperinha at Gamboa; Cachaca from Maria Izabel in Parati; Rum Punch at Prickly Bay and now on board of Songerie
