Paramaribo is a half hour to hour bus ride from Domburg. The first day we just arrived just in time for a small bus to leave. The conductor informed us that he is not going all the way to center, but we’ll be able to catch a link from the turn off. At the drop off spot, when payment was refused, we realized we caught a lift with a private car! Each bus driver “pimp up” their buses with bollywood pictures, gold or silver framed number plates, painted mud guards, Dalmatian or other design seats covered in plastic, gold or silver next-stop-bells, shimmering painted windows etc.
