Puerto Real
Anchor spot: N 10 34,170 W 64 06,900 in mud
We left too late and got caught by a fresh head wind when we entered the open sea. A short steep swell build and it was very uncomfortable and slow going to windward. We decided to tack, this made the motion more smooth but slower to reach the destination. We caused some confusion to the skipper of a high speed ferry coming from Margarita Island by tacking to port and starboard in front of him.
With his horn blearing he overtook us with all the passengers hanging over the starboard rail!
Now the wind was up to 25 knots and even with the new propeller it was slow going.
Eventually we reached Puerto Real and put anchor in howling easterly.
