Americano bay |
We went for a picnic to Americano bay, half an hour by dinghy. This is a small bay with hole-in-the-wall cliffs both sides, some caves and a perfect beach where a turtle laid eggs the night before. Snorkelling is spectacular and I saw a Tarpon of about 1.6m long. A few days later we had a BBQ (fish off course) here, with new sailing friends from SV Yapa. Skipper Hisham showed us how to open and eat sea urchins. The taste is like oyster, very good! The natural Jacuzzi at Americano bay was a little rough because of high tide, but looks good for a relaxing few hours some other time
