Golfo de Cuare , Chichiriviche
Indian site
N 10 54.476 W 68 18.472 4m deep in mud
According to cruising guide the Golfo is one of the best Hurricane holes in the south Caribbean .
We wish we new more about the ancient Indian Rock engravings. It is difficult to apreciate the art just by looking at them. Jaco thought the lack of interesting subjects (the Bushmen had giraffe, rhino, elephant and lion) or maybe the humidity also made them lazy.
Next to the Indian site is a fresh water fountain and also a place of prayer to the saints of sea travel.
We did not find the protected hole and after a choppy night at anchor left for the old sand dock (still in the Golfo)
