Hentiesbay, Swakopmund and Walvisbay / September 2013

Corinna's ashes, she died sadly and was cremated
in Santo Domingo, Dom Rep earlier this year.

We had to look in at our house at Hentiesbay and was happy to see all was good.
Here we also buried Corrinna’s ashes next to her daughter Ute’s.

 At Walvisbay, the premium wind sport spot in the world, Jaco got a day’s lessons in Kite surfing from Jurgen Geiger.

He smashed the previous record of 54knts to over 65knts!

The orange color develops over time as iron in the sand is oxidized, like rusty metal; the older the dune, the brighter the color.
