Christmas and New Years at the Dulce

We spend Christmas Eve alone on “Songerie”, having a BBQ. After many chats with the owner or Tienda Reed about wine, he gave us a SA wine for Christmas! We have never seen this brand back home and enjoyed it with our meal.

The South African clan.
We went up river to “Kangaroo los Mexicana’s” for Christmas lunch. A lovely outing, but not so great food.

Paul and Twyla in da mood.
For New Years Eve we met the “Samphire” crew at the Back-Packers Bar/Restaurant/disco. At first we could not relate to the distorting loud Guatemalan music and joined the 2 of them to the South African group, but upon first glance of the bar prices at the marina, we asked Paul to take us back to the back-packers. We did the two-step, samba, salsa, rumba, twist, bob, hip-sway and lots more till 4am, when we leopard crawled home…. No maintenance was done on the 1st of January!
