Cava and a cigar on arrival |
10Nm North of Grand Cayman we lost our brand new lure to a
giant Blue Marlin. The rest of the way was dry and uneventful. We arrived at
Cayo Sal and anchored behind the thin strip island, N21 38.1 W 81 10.7, to wait
out the strong South Easterly predicted for the following day.
On Sunday, 24 March we left at sunset and at 5 am we dropped
anchor at Cienfuegos. Clearing in was painless except for being searched twice
by the sniffer dogs. Maybe the second time was just a begging exercise.

It was great to meet our friends Lilly and Michel again
and to see the new renovations made at the Casa Particular. We were just in
time to join Lilly’s birthday celebration.

A week later we joined them for the real celebration for a day at the beach at Rancho Luna.

We supplied the coolbox full of beer, wine and rum and they supplied the food for the day. |

For Easter we left Songerie at Cienfuegos on anchor and took
a taxi to Trinidad.
