We stayed at Casa Loraine, a very friendly house with
excellent food.

It was lovely to once again walk in these romantic
cobblestone streets of Trinidad at sunset. After we watched the start of the
Easter procession at Cathedral Santisima, we enjoyed a bottle of red wine
sitting on the steps at Casa de la Musica listening to life salsa bands.

We took a short cycling day trip to La Boca and playa Ancon.
The scenery was lovely with beautiful beaches and beach baracas where we
stopped for cold beers.

The second day we took a little longer cycling trip to valle
de los ingenious, a UNESCO cultural heritage site in the Valle de San Louis. (Valley
of the sugar mills). This was Cuba’s most important sugar producing region
which is now mostly in ruin. We cycled to the famous Torre de Manaca-Iznaga
tower is in the Iznaca village.

On our way back we stopped shortly at the pottery maker at
El Alfarero Casa Chichi.
