The newly pitched propeller was making a big difference to
the motoring speed of Songerie.
We averaged more than 5 knots to drop anchor on the western
end of Cayo de Aqua an hour before sunset.

Lobster supper with Yvonne and Phil on the first evening |
The really calm weather held for two days, the water clarity
was amazing and we spend a lot of time snorkelling on most beautiful reefs.
When the weather changed we moved into the big bay
of Cayo de Aqua for more
protection.

French Angelfish Juvenile |
One sunset BBQ on the beach was perfect, the next attempt at
sundowners on the beach was rapidly abandoned because of no-see-ums.
We were not checked into Los Roques and did not want to hang
around too long….and the real attraction: Las Aves, was waiting to the west.
