Our next stop was Medregal Marina to see Jean-Marc to check
prices for hauling and painting the boat. While here we had a nice evening meal
that turned into a party to celebrate French sailor Abel `s birthday!

| Ancient Church bells at Caripe |
The
next day we took a day trip to Guacharo cave at Caripe. The main attraction is
the radar equipped Guacharo bird that lives in total darkness in the cave and
go out at night to feed.
After checking out the screeching birds and stalactites and
stalagmites we stopped for a traditional meal. We never quite figured out what
animal meat we ate, something with small bones! We were assured it is not rat,
cat or dog!
Dessert was fresh strawberries with double cream!
