Jaco badly wanted to be at the offshore islands on his birthday, but we had to aply for a Dutch Antille visa to enter Bonaire. It took the wind out of our sails when the consulate in Caracas rudely mentioned that this will take 3 to 4 weeks!! Our passports was send to Washington with the application. We were stuck in Puerto la Cruz!
The next best thing was a tourist trip by taxi to Mochima for 2 nights.

The Total cost of the weekend including: return taxi PLC to Mochima, 2 nights in a pousada, 2 lunches, 2 dinners (including starter, maincourse one cake and wine), water taxi to beaches for 2 days, beer, rum and Sparkling wine, came to 100U$!
