" Songerie" and "Be as you are" |
Together with Russel and Natalyia on "Be as you are" we weighed anchor early morning in 20knts of wind on our back and sailed 35Nm to Aves Islands, Barlovento. Upon arrival we eye-balled our way through the reefs to the fourth-bay at the front reef. The wind dropped down the next days which make it together with the Northern swell, great condition to dive at the outside reef. Jaco joined Russel and Natalyia for a dive there before we had a loverly sunset BBQ and fish-smoke till late night under full moon. The following day we went to the East Island for another day of diving. Here our paths split with them sailing on to Bonaire and we waiting for Phill and Yvonne to join us.
We stayed another week with Chaser 2 at various anchorages at Barlevento, filling the fridge with fresh fish and spending most of the time under water. (Jaco spearfishing and Christelle taking photos.)
