Vic and Maria, friends we met on our cycling trip, arrived mid May to join us on the sail to Bonaire.
All hatches were over-stocked with fresh fruits, veggies, wine and beer. With Coco and Canela (only 5 weeks old) settled in, we were ready to check out of Venezuela.
The latter a slow frustrating and costly process, which now-a-days end with the drug team inspecting (and asking bribes) one's boat then seeing you off. Which means, gone are the days of leaving early morning!

After a wonderful sail, we arrived almost midnight at Tortuga.
The following day, Jaco supplied lobster and fish for the next 2 days meals after just a short dive.
