Cuba, Jardines de la Reina, Alcatracito, April 2016

Nate declared the regatta underway early morning with a unfair head start! Soon the fleet followed in his wake. Roxy left with a late start knowing they will catch us all before we anchor at Alcatracito.

Soon the outside reef became one of the most memorable diving site for us in Cuba. Here record size groupers and snappers were sited by Jaco and Nate. Nate got his trofee snapper and Jaco filled our (and the neighbours) fridge with a selection of fish.

Even a shark got his bite.

Continuing the sunset beach parties, we all tried our best to avoid the bugs. There were lots of laughter, sailing tales, fine food and rum around fires stoked bigger and bigger by Ana.
With a Norther heading our way we said good bye to Roxy, sailing back to the Med and Kantala sailing on to Cienfuegos, where we plan to catch up with them.
We took refuge in a well protected lagoon anchorage.
A dilapidated house was the perfect spot to smoke fish while we were killing time for the Norther to pass.

Salvaging a shipwreck.
Smoking more fish and cigars!
