We shared Nico and Motte's bungalow with a view over the very interestingly busy waterhole.
Once again we were spoiled by the great cooking of Nico and Motte.

After a bit of struggle to find proper tyres for the Landy (beeing in storage for on and off the last 7 years), us four sailors left for Sossusvlei.
Along the road we collected big hardwood logs for the evening cooking.
First night was at Sesriem campsite, oveflow, because we did not have a booking.
The German speaking South African neighbours got very nervous when we offloaded the tree trunks firewood, expecting an late noisy night!
We left early morning for Sossusvlei, to be in time for sunrise at the best spot.

We climbed the highest dune, all the way to the top!
Nate got scared of the heights, was bum crawling in parts!
We took the very fast steep way down to the Deadvlei.
Most amazing was the roaring of the dune as you run down, seems like the whole dune is vibrating under you!

That evening we camped at Aruvlei, on the way to Walvisbay.

In Walvisbay we stopped at the yacht club, had a nice meal at Anchors.
