Leaving the Rio Dulce, December 2016

Love the easy way of filling all diesel tanks coming alongside.

After a fantastic Namibian interlude, we spend about one month getting ready for another sailing season.

(Won't bore you with the details!)

Last anchorage at the Rio dulce/Fronteras.

Tranquil anchorage at Cayo Quemado.

Checking the tension of the new rigging.

At last we head down the river to Cayo Quemado, where our new 170% Genoa sail and cable for rigging are awaiting us at Tom the sail-maker.
With the help of Tom, Jaco replaced "Songerie's" standing rigging .
Songerie leading the flotilla out of the river.

Filling water continers at the natural spring.

A few days ago, Tom pointed out to us a hidden pipe coming from the cliffs where we filled all water tanks with the best natural spring water.
To cross the sand bar at Livingston, we waited two nights for full moon with the highest high tide.
We anchored in a spectacular gorge covered on either side with teak, mahogany, palms and wild flowers.
Tell me I am not the CUTEST! Coco

ME TOO! Canela.

Marvelous, peaceful anchorage before we head to open seas!
