Bayahibe

 Anchor spot N 18 22,056 W 68 50,670  6m deep in sand

One of the 33 overloaded tourist Catamarans
Bayahibe is only 4 mile to the east of the marina, a small town that is the departing point of the hundreds of tourist for Isla Saona by sailing catamarans.
We counted 33 catamarans!

Tourist "cats" boats on the way back to Bayahibe.

Delicious conch at mama Rosa.
The town itself is very nice; we found “Pica Pollo Mama Rosa” a small restaurant away from the tourist waterfront and had delicious lambi (conch) at U$ 5 /person!
Mama Rosa is a very friendly madam who smothered Jaco in kisses, we only later realised it was Valentines Day!

peaceful anchorage when all the "cats" are gone

We stayed at anchor for a few days, taking the bus to La Romana one day for shopping and to see some of the inland.
The beautiful topless girl on the Check Pirate boat next to us, we could barely tolerate but the nightly playing of the bagpipes by the captain became too much and we upped anchor for Isla Saona
